Who is The Dublin School of Grinds?
The Dublin School of Grinds (DSG) is one of our main success stories in the educational sector. DSG has been established since 2008 and has become a cornerstone of exam preparation in Ireland.
DSG approached Worldnet with some very specific issues they wanted to address when it came to payments and customer retention.
Our client typically processed a manual payment each semester for every student. This meant contacting customers every few months to chase payment for the coming semester’s grinds. DSG found that this model offered customers an exit option, which resulted in 22% attrition rates each semester.
DSG needed to find a way to automate the payment process, while also making it more flexible to meet the ever-changing needs of their customers.
Worldnet’s solution was simple – SecureCard – it enables Worldnet customers to store cardholder details in a PCI-compliant manner. The card details can be used to schedule recurring payments.
DSG integrated SecureCard with their website, enabling customers to set-up payment plans directly online. They also utilised SecureCard via their Worldnet backend management system – the Selfcare System.
Through the Selfcare System, DSG could manage recurring payment criteria, including; value and frequency i.e. weekly, monthly, annually. Plus, they had full control of card details, including updating and deletion.
This has been extremely useful for DSG as they can now take payments in a flexible way to suit their customers. By strategically changing the payment date, utilising Worldnet’s SecureCard feature, and offering students a 2-3 payment instalment plan – DSG has seen their attrition rates reduced to 1%.
From speaking with DSG it is clear they have improved efficiency, saved a huge amount in fees, reduced workload and witnessed a rise in their turnover year-on-year.
